Medical services of 50-bed health complex of Maheshpur upazila of Jhenaidah have been completely demolished. There are 21 doctor's positions, but there is a doctor. This makes it 4:30
Health services in this upazila have become disrupted in the upazila.
Along with this, patients are suffering from severe suffering every day. Although necessary to appoint doctors on an urgent basis, the concerned people did not take any action in the last two months.
It has been learned that 21 doctors including the Upazila Health and Family Planning Officers in Maheshpur Hospital have to be in the hospital. But there is only one doctor in the hospital.
Out of 21 people, there are 11 specialist doctors. Due to lack of adequate doctors and medicines, the sufferings of the patients are now very high. Although this situation continued for the last two months, the authorities did not take any action in this regard.
Asked to know, Dr. Nasir Uddin said that 13 to 14 doctors were working in the hospital some days ago. They went out for higher degree and training. Details of this condition of the hospital were reported but still no arrangements have been made.
He also said that to increase the quality of services in the hospital, doctors and adequate medicines are available on an urgent basis. On this, the Health Minister's urgent intervention in this regard is expected.
Maheshpur Hospital Upazila Health and Family Planning Worker Dr. Prafulla Kumar said that due to lack of treatment the quality of treatment of patients in the hospital was hampered.
Apart from UHPPO, a doctor is being provided emergency care and outpatient treatment. At present, for the purpose of running the hospital, there is a need to come to the doctor from the union sub-center and then to be treated.
