Two people were killed in a gunfight with police in Bhuiyar Gati area of ​​Jhenaidah town. Wounded in the meantimeThere were 3 members of the police.
The incident took place on Tuesday (October 25th) near the BhutiaGati Primary School at around 4am. Arms and bullets were recovered from the spot.
The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately. The injured policemen are Sadar thana Constable Bulbul Hossain, Azim Uddin and Nasim Ahmed. They were treated at the hospital.
Jhenaidah Additional Superintendent of Police Azhbahar Ali Sheikh told journalists that some terrorists were going to the bus terminal at Kaliganj on 3 motorcycles through Jhenaidah bypass road in the early morning. At that time a patrol team of police alerted them to stop them, the terrorists threw 3 bombs targeting the police vehicle and fired.
Police also fired counter to self defense. In both sides the exchange of 7-8 minutes was exchanged. At one stage the terrorists escaped two motorcycles.
Later, police recovered two people from the spot and brought them to Jhenaidah Sadar Hospital, while duty doctors declared them dead.
Police recovered a motorcycle, two one shooter, two rounds of bullets, five bombs, two musketeers and bullets from the spot.
