In Mithilipara village of Shailakupa upazila of Jhenaidah, Mithu and her family have been tortured to death by a woman named Tachalima Khatun (25), who did not receive dowry money.
Tachalima has been injured by burning a cigarette and burning a barricade and causing serious injury. He is currently undergoing treatment at Jhenaidah Sadar Hospital.
Taslima's brother Selim Reza said that Taslima was married five years ago to Mithu, son of Abdus Sattar Biswas of Wariya Laxmipur village under Kotchandpur upazila. At the time of marriage, cash was given Tk 50,000, gold ornaments and furniture.
For some days after marriage, dowry greedy husband Mithu continues to beat Taslima for dowry. Thinking about the happiness of Bane, Taslima's family has given a lot of money in a few phases to the heretical husband Mithu
For the last one lakh taka dowry on Sep 23, the husband and his family took out three years old daughter Meghalaya from her husband's house in Walia Laxmipur village of Kotchandpur upazila and pulled her out of the house. From that day, Tashlima stayed at Sholokupar Sholokipara of Baba's house.
Meanwhile, on September 28, the husband came to Mithu, mother-in-law Abeda Khatun and Debar Rony and Arif at Santolipara village. At 8pm, for dowry again, Tahsilima was detained in the house and beat the stomach and burnt the cigarette and burned the body of the premises and fled to the micro. Later, Taslima was admitted to Jhenaidah Sadar Hospital.
Dowry, greedy husband, Mithu, mother-in-law Abeda Khatun and Dawn, Rony and Arif have been brought under the law and demanded fair trial. Taslima and her relatives demanded fair trial. Taslima's brother Selim Reza said a case will be filed with Shailkupa Police Station.
Shailkupa Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Tariqul Islam said no one has yet given any excuse to the police. If the complaint is received, legal action will be taken.
